What this barometer measures

The barometer measures how AI search engines mention Florida law firms in response to buyer-intent legal queries. It tracks visibility, not legal quality. A firm that appears often in AI answers scores higher than one that appears rarely or not at all.

The ranking is a publishing exercise, not a hiring recommendation. We do not assess case outcomes, bar discipline, fee structures, or fit for any specific matter.

Scoring approach

Each firm receives a score derived from three signals across every prompt we run:

• Mention frequency. How often the firm appears across our prompt set.
• Position. Whether the firm appears first, second, or further down in the AI's answer.
• Endorsement strength. Whether the engine names the firm with a clear recommendation, lists it, or only mentions it in passing.

Per-cell scores roll up to a per-firm total. Ties break by alphabetical firm name. We do not disclose the proprietary weights to discourage gaming.

Update cadence

The barometer is rebuilt manually when we have a fresh measurement run. The page header always shows the last-updated date. There is no automated cron in v1.

Data caveats

AI engine output is non-deterministic. The same prompt can produce slightly different answers across runs, sessions, geographies, and time. Our methodology reduces this variance through repeated sampling, but it cannot eliminate it.

Engine behavior also changes as the underlying models are retrained or as the engines update their retrieval stack. A firm's score can move materially between releases without any change in the firm itself.

Geographic targeting matters. Our prompts are issued from a single US location. A buyer in a different state, or a buyer running a different phrasing, can see a different list.

Corrections process

Email corrections@endorsedlabs.com. We respond within five business days. Factual errors are corrected. Ranking position is not negotiable.

Common corrections we accept: wrong firm name, wrong domain, duplicate entries, defunct firms still showing, or a firm that should be excluded for clear cause (closed practice, name change).
